BCS is pleased to announce that both our certified athletic trainers (ATC) Kyle Southall and Bailey Fawcett have received high honors from the Southeastern Athletic Trainers Association (SEATA).

Bailey was awarded the SEATA Backbone Award described as: One of the first awards given by SEATA.  It is designed to recognize an assistant athletic trainer that has played a major role as backbone to the Head Athletic Trainer.  This award is for the person in the trenches that is there day to day what is needed in the athletic training room, the true professional.

Kyle was awarded the Chuck Kimmel Award of Merit that's described as: One of the highest awards given to a member of the Southeast Athletic Trainers Association. Its purpose is to recognize the person that has worked for the District on a national level.  It is a way to distinguish one who has brought honor and recognition to the District.  A distinction reserved for the most able of professionals in the field of athletic training.

The SEATA Executive Board renamed the SEATA Award of Merit to the Chuck Kimmel Award of Merit on January 30, 2008, to honor Chuck Kimmel for his many contributions to the profession of athletic training through his work in SEATA and the NATA.

SEATA spans KY, TN, LA, MS, AL, GA, and FL with over 6000 athletic trainers.

The awards ceremony will be on Friday, February 9th in Atlanta.

Kyle and Bailey are not only amazing trainers, they are also full-time teachers at BCS which is a rare commodity and also a great blessing!
