The Parent Teacher Fellowship, PTF, is the parent organization that seeks to serve the school, students, teachers, and families. The purpose of the PTF is to serve Christ by serving the school; to promote, enhance and enrich Christian education by providing an organized force of volunteer parents to support the mission and the programs of the school. There are two PTF boards: Lower School PTF and Upper School PTF. Each PTF is focused on serving the teachers and families of their perspective campus. However, both PTF boards work closely together to serve Briarwood as a whole.
What does the PTF do? The PTF provides monthly Teacher Appreciation lunches to encourage our teachers and faculty, facilitates a Prayer and Mercy ministry for our school family, and contributes to the provision of Wish List items from the school such as Smart Boards, text books, technology items, and furniture for the common areas.
Each PTF also has campus specific committees which serve the school. Some examples include:
Lower Campus - Organizes and operates the annual Fall Festival and hosts other fundraisers such as The Pumpkin Patch. Serves the teachers and students with various roles including in the library, copy room, laminating, and the Spelling Bee.
Upper Campus - Supports special days such as President’s Day, World Day, Jr High Socials, Homecoming events, and a Graduation reception. The Upper School PTF also fundraises to gift the upper school teachers and faculty at Christmas, Birthdays, and the End of the Year.
There are many more ways the PTF supports the school and families. There is a place for everyone to be involved!!
The PTF is here to support and serve you and your family. We will join together with you in prayer for your needs; help provide meals when someone is sick or recovering from surgery; or just be a source of information for you. Please let us know if we can ever be of service to you.
How do I help? PTF depends on each family’s contribution through membership dues and active participation. The PTF accomplishes its purpose by harnessing the power of volunteers! That is YOU! There is a place for you! Almost all the committees require a very little amount of your time. Whatever amount of time you have to give is greatly appreciated!
Membership Dues: The PTF is fully financed through PTF membership dues and other fundraising efforts with every penny flowing back into the school. Membership dues are paid yearly and to each specific PTF. The PTF dues are only $25 per family for each school. Your support and generosity makes it possible for the PTF to help enrich our school.
Please see the membership form to pay your dues and review the list of potential committees.
