Fall Festival Committee – Volunteers on this committee will assist in planning, executing and promoting the Fall Festival. Areas of service include wristband fulfillment and distribution, assisting with decorations, booth set up and helping the day of the event. This is an event that requires many, many hands on deck!
Teacher Appreciation Committee – Volunteers on this committee will assist the Teacher Appreciation Chairs by providing monetary donations to help provide lunches for our staff and faculty. The committee chairs will reach out on a monthly basis to collect funds (usually via Venmo or PayPal). ANY amount donated is appreciated, whether it’s $5 or $100. Participation is not required every month and only encouraged when you feel led to give. Occasionally, the committee chairs may need assistance in setup of the lunches and will contact you if they need additional help.
Lion Core Committee – Volunteers on this committee will be contacted for various opportunities throughout the year, as needs arise. This committee is a great “add-on” committee to be a part of, as you will have the ability to sign up to help in many ways.
Teacher Support Committee – Volunteers on this committee will provide assistance in the teacher workroom by making copies of schoolwork and assignments, as well as laminating documents, as requested by teachers and with the direction of the Committee Chair.
Grandparents Day Committee – Volunteers on this committee will help in executing Grandparents Day activities. Opportunities to serve include greeting our grandparent guests, assisting them throughout the building, shuttling guests from the parking lot to the school entrances, etc. This is an event that requires many, many hands on deck!
Fundraising Committee – Volunteers on this committee will have the opportunity to serve in a variety of ways throughout the year by assisting the Fundraising Chairs in executing and promoting fundraising initiatives. Fundraisers would include the annual Fall Pumpkin Patch and Spring Fern Sale where volunteers would work shifts to help set up and break down the event and to help the day run smoothly. Additionally, volunteers on this committee would assist with other fundraiser needs as they arise throughout the year.
Hospitality Committee – Volunteers on this committee would assist the Hospitality Chairs in setting up hospitality needs throughout the year, including dinner for teachers on Back to School Night, the Fall Festival volunteer breakfast, breakfast for Grandparent’s Day guests, the 6th Grade Promotion Reception and other needs should they arise throughout the year.
New Family Support Committee – Volunteers on this committee would help support the Chair in welcoming new families to our school. Responsibilities would include helping to distribute New Family Welcome Boxes to the families in the summer, being a point of contact for the new families, and assisting with a New Family Social event if the school provides one.
Library Committee – Volunteers on this committee would work shifts to assist the librarians in executing their needs for the library and for interacting with the students.
Lost & Found Committee – Volunteers on this committee would help organize items and keep the area tidy and assist with returning lost items to their owners, as well as assist with preparing for the Lost & Found Sale in December and May of each year.
