Briarwood Athletics Performance Program (BAPP)
Empowering Athletes. Elevating Performance
Proverbs 21:31"The horse is prepared for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord."
Success requires both diligent preparation and unwavering trust in God. While we are called to plan and work faithfully, true victory and security ultimately rest in God's sovereign hands.

What Performance Sports Technology will be used in the program?
- VALD - Providing unparalleled insights to health and performance professionals. Our technology is trusted by health and performance professionals around the world, in environments ranging from elite sports to physical therapy clinics, to hospitals, universities, schools and defense departments.
- WHOOP -Performing every day requires an understanding of the relationship between your physical exertion, mental load, and your body’s ability to bounce back. From sleep to stress, and steps to recovery, WHOOP captures everything to coach you towards your best performance.
- DEXA- A DEXA (Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry) scan is a medical imaging test that measures bone mineral density, providing information about bone strength and risk of fracture. of Athletics
Throughout my career as both a player and a coach, I’ve had the privilege of working alongside some of the world’s most elite athletes and some of the best youth athletes—from MLB All-Stars to Gold Medal winning Olympians and young high school athletes who have gone on to play Major League Baseball. I’ve played with them, trained with them, coached them, and learned from their relentless pursuit of excellence.
In my short time at Briarwood, I’ve seen many young athletes who show strong sport-specific skills, but their overall athleticism is holding them back. Athleticism is necessary to succeed in any chosen sport and the good news is, athleticism can be developed.
Using objective sports performance technology, I’m excited to begin implementing this approach to help our athletes unlock their full potential—not just in their sport, but as well-rounded competitors.
We are thrilled to launch the Briarwood Athletics Performance Program (BAPP)—an exciting new initiative designed to give every athlete the opportunity to unlock their full potential.
BAPP is built on the principles of Long-Term Athlete Development (LTAD), a proven system used by leading Olympic nations to nurture and develop well-rounded, high-performing athletes. While many of our young athletes already show strong sport-specific skills, BAPP will focus on enhancing overall athleticism—power, speed, strength, coordination, mobility, and injury resilience—that forms the foundation for long-term success.
This program marks a new chapter in Briarwood Athletics, and we can’t wait to see the impact it will have on our student-athletes both on and off the field.
