2026 Briarwood Speed & Strength Summer Program
Expanded Summer Opportunities Now Open
Registration is now open for the Briarwood Speed and Strength Summer Program.
Following the success of the Briarwood Athletic Performance Program (BAPP), the Briarwood Speed & Strength Summer Program is designed to help athletes become faster, stronger, quicker, more coordinated, and more confident through structured speed training, strength development, movement work, conditioning, and performance coaching.
Program Expansion
- Added an additional weekly training day in June
- Added separate boys and girls training groups
- Increased scheduling flexibility for families
- Expanded opportunities for individualized athlete development
These changes were made to help accommodate growing interest while still maintaining the small-group structure that is central to the program.
Individualized Athlete Development
Athletes will train using performance systems currently utilized within BAPP, including:
- VALD ForceDecks
- Dashr Timing Gates
- Objective movement and performance testing
These systems help provide measurable feedback to support athlete development in:
- Speed
- Strength
- Balance
- Coordination
- Explosiveness
- Overall athletic preparation

- Recovery habits
- Long-term athletic development
Nutrition and recovery education will be incorporated throughout the summer to help students better understand preparation, performance, and healthy training habits.
Small-Group Training Structure
To maintain coaching quality, organization, and individualized athlete attention, we would like to keep each training group limited to approximately 10–12 athletes per session.
Because of the intentionally limited group sizes, families are encouraged to register early once the portal opens.
This structure allows for:
- More personal coaching interaction
- Stronger athlete engagement
- Improved training flow
- A more focused developmental environment

The goal is to provide flexibility for Briarwood families while still creating consistency and structure for athlete development throughout the summer.
Important Registration Note
As part of the registration process, families will be asked to complete a short questionnaire before finalizing registration.
This information will help the Briarwood Performance Team better understand:
- The athlete's goals
- Training background
- Sport involvement
- Overall purpose for participation in the program
This will help us continue to create a more intentional and individualized experience for students throughout the summer.
Online Registration
The online registration portal includes:
- Session selection
- Scheduling options
- Payment options
Families are encouraged to review availability early due to the intentionally limited group sizes.
Limited private and small-group training opportunities may also be available for Briarwood athletes unable to attend scheduled session times based on availability and scheduling.
